The Hampton is Baume & Mercier's Art Deco line, drawn in 1935 and shaped by the rectangular geometry of that decade rather than by anything since. At 22.2mm it is deliberately small — a piece of jewellery that happens to tell the time. The stepped case sides and the vertically brushed dial catch light differently as the wrist turns, and a precise Swiss quartz movement keeps the profile slim.
