The BR 03 case is lifted directly from the instrument dials mounted in an aircraft cockpit, and in matte black ceramic at 41mm it becomes close to stealth — highly scratch-resistant and low-glare. The four visible corner screws are borrowed from panel-mounted clocks, and the dial is reduced to what a pilot needs: oversized luminous numerals and nothing else. Bell & Ross was founded in Paris in 1992 on exactly this principle.
