The Big Pilot descends directly from the B-Uhr navigation watches IWC built for Luftwaffe crews in the late 1930s, oversized so a pilot could read it at a glance over a flight jacket without removing a glove. At 43mm the triangle-and-dots at twelve and the conical crown remain unchanged, driven by an in-house automatic calibre with a seven-day reserve.
