Breitling Avenger

The Avenger was built for pilots who fly hard, and every detail follows that brief. The 42mm steel case is oversized where it matters — a heavily knurled bezel that turns with gloves on, a screw-down crown with reinforced shoulders, and a dial of outsized luminous numerals readable at a glance in a dark cockpit. The Swiss automatic movement is certified as a chronometer by the COSC, and the case is rated to 300 metres. Deliberately robust rather than refined, which is exactly the point.
