The Première was Chanel's first watch, launched in 1987, and its octagonal case is drawn directly from the stopper of the N°5 bottle and the geometry of the Place Vendôme. At 20mm it is deliberately small — a piece of jewellery that happens to tell the time, worn the way a bracelet is worn. Gold and steel are combined across case and chain-link bracelet, with a precise Swiss quartz movement inside.
