This is Hi-Beat 36000 in the Elegance case — a movement beating ten times a second, twice the industry norm, which is punishing to build and gives noticeably better rate stability. Grand Seiko puts it in a steel case whose every surface is Zaratsu-polished by hand against a rotating tin plate, producing mirrors with no distortion at all. The hands are cut, faceted and polished individually.
