Grand Seiko's 9F quartz is not the quartz anyone else makes, and in GMT form it becomes the ideal traveller's watch: regulated to within ten seconds a year, with a twin-pulse motor strong enough to drive heavy hands and a backlash auto-adjust mechanism that stops the seconds hand jittering. A fourth central hand tracks a second time zone. The steel case is Zaratsu-polished by hand.
