The Top Gun line was developed for US Navy fighter pilots, and the specification follows from that brief rather than from styling. The 44.5mm case is black ceramic — hard, matte, low-glare, and resistant to the temperature extremes and pressure changes of a cockpit. A soft-iron inner cage shields the movement from magnetic fields. Inside runs an IWC-manufactured chronograph calibre with flyback function, letting the timer be reset and restarted with a single press.
