Mido Multifort

The Multifort works because Mido never tried to make it exciting. A 40mm steel case, a legible dial, applied indexes, a date — and the Caliber 80 inside, an automatic movement with an eighty-hour power reserve that means the watch is still running on Monday after a weekend in a drawer. The name dates to 1934, when Mido built the first automatic that was simultaneously antimagnetic, water resistant and shock protected.
