The Dark Side of the Moon took the watch that went to the Moon and rendered it entirely in ceramic — case, dial and bezel machined from a single black block, matte and highly scratch-resistant. Omega spent years solving the problem of cutting a chronograph case from zirconium oxide. Hand-wound, so the caseback shows the movement uninterrupted by a rotor.
