Hand-winding is what makes the Villeret Ultra-Slim possible: without a rotor the case runs thin enough to vanish entirely beneath a cuff, and the caseback shows the movement uninterrupted. At 40mm in steel the double-stepped bezel and slender lugs are period-correct, the dial holds nothing unnecessary. Blancpain was founded in 1735, is the oldest watch brand in the world, and never made a quartz watch.
