Mido Multifort

The Multifort works because Mido never tried to make it exciting. A 40mm steel case, a legible dial, applied indexes, a date — and the Caliber 80 inside, an automatic movement engineered around a longer mainspring specifically so it would survive a full weekend off the wrist. The name dates to 1934, when Mido built the first automatic that was simultaneously antimagnetic, water resistant and shock protected.
