The Chronomat was built in 1984 for the Frecce Tricolori, Italy's aerobatic squadron, and every detail answers a request they made — the rider tabs on the bezel exist so a pilot can grip and turn it wearing gloves. At 42mm in steel it is the size the modern collection settled on. Driving it is the in-house Manufacture Calibre 01, a column-wheel chronograph certified by the COSC.
