IWC Portugieser Chronograph

In 18-carat red gold the Portugieser Chronograph carries the weight its origins imply. The line began in the late 1930s when two Portuguese merchants asked IWC for a wristwatch as accurate as a marine chronometer, which meant fitting a pocket watch movement, which meant a case far larger than the era found acceptable. At 41mm the railway-track chapter ring and slender leaf hands remain unchanged.
