IWC Portugieser Perpetual Calendar
IW503702
The Portugieser Perpetual Calendar is IWC's masterpiece, and in 18-carat rose gold it appears as the maison intends. Kurt Klaus conceived the calendar module with an elegance that still astonishes: date, day, month, four-digit year and moon all advance from a single mechanical programme needing no correction until 2100, and the entire calendar is set through the crown alone. The double moonphase shows the lunar cycle from both hemispheres and deviates by one day in 577.5 years. Pellaton winding fills twin barrels for a seven-day reserve.
