The El Toro is Ludwig Oechslin's answer to the great flaw of perpetual calendars: on almost every other one, adjusting backwards will damage the movement. Here every indication — date, day, month, year and the GMT — sets forwards and backwards from the crown alone, with no correctors and no risk. At 42mm in titanium, it is the most intelligent calendar in watchmaking.
