Blancpain Air Command

In 1956 the US Air Force asked Blancpain for a flyback chronograph, and the Air Command was the answer — built in tiny numbers and now among the rarest watches in the maison's history. The revival keeps the rotating countdown bezel, the oversized luminous numerals and the flyback function that lets a pilot reset and restart the timer with a single press. Blancpain was founded in 1735 and has never made a quartz watch.
