The rider tabs on the Chronomat bezel are not decoration: they were designed so a pilot could grip and turn the bezel while wearing flight gloves, a requirement set by Italy's Frecce Tricolori aerobatic squadron in 1984. At 42mm in steel on the woven Rouleaux bracelet, this is the configuration that defined the model. Driving it is the Manufacture Calibre 01, in-house, column wheel and vertical clutch, COSC-certified.
