The Première was Chanel's first watch, launched in 1987, and its octagonal case is drawn directly from the stopper of the N°5 bottle and the geometry of the Place Vendôme. In yellow gold at 19.7mm it is deliberately tiny — jewellery that happens to tell the time, worn the way a bracelet is worn rather than consulted. A precise Swiss quartz movement keeps the profile as slim as the design demands.
