The Dark Side of the Moon takes its name from the far side of the lunar surface that Apollo 8 became the first crew to see, and the entirely black ceramic construction earns the reference. Case, bezel and dial are all cut from zirconium oxide, a highly scratch-resistant material, giving the watch a depth that steel cannot reproduce. The hand-wound Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861 drives it, METAS-certified and resistant to 15,000 gauss.
