Blancpain Ladybird

In 1956 Blancpain built the Ladybird around what was then the smallest round automatic movement in the world — a genuine technical achievement, undertaken so that a woman's watch could be mechanical rather than a scaled-down compromise. The line still carries that conviction. Blancpain has never made a quartz watch, not even during the years when the entire Swiss industry did, and this piece runs an in-house automatic calibre.
