Blancpain was founded in 1735 and is the oldest watch brand in the world, and it famously refused to make a quartz watch even when the entire Swiss industry did. The Léman carries a moonphase alongside a complete calendar showing day, date and month — four indications on a dial that manages to look uncrowded. The in-house automatic calibre is finished to a standard the restrained exterior declines to advertise.
