Grand Seiko Heritage Collection

This is Grand Seiko at its most poetic. The dial texture evokes the cherry blossom of Shunbun, the spring equinox in the traditional Japanese calendar, and the 40mm case is Zaratsu-polished by hand to distortion-free mirror surfaces. What sets it apart is inside: Spring Drive, powered by a mainspring like any mechanical watch but regulated by a quartz oscillator, so the seconds hand glides in perfect continuous motion rather than ticking. Accuracy is quoted at one second per day.
