Without the chronograph, the Navitimer's circular slide rule has the dial to itself — and it remains the most functional bezel in watchmaking, developed with the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association in 1952 to calculate fuel burn, rate of climb and unit conversions in flight. At 41mm in steel this three-hand version is considerably more wearable than the chronograph, and a Swiss automatic movement drives it beneath a glareproofed crystal.
