When Jacques Helleu designed the J12 in 2000 he gave Chanel something almost no fashion house achieves: a genuinely original watch that the watch world took seriously. The case and bracelet are high-tech ceramic, a highly scratch-resistant material, polished to a depth that steel cannot reach. At 38mm it sits equally well on any wrist. Inside runs the Calibre 12.1, a Swiss automatic movement produced by Kenissi and certified as a chronometer by the COSC.
