Gérald Genta designed the Ingenieur in 1976 with an exposed bezel screw pattern that became one of the era's defining sports watch languages. IWC's engineering answer to magnetism sits inside: a soft-iron cage protecting the movement from fields that would stop most mechanical watches cold. At 40mm in steel, the integrated bracelet flows from the case without a seam.
