On 8 June 1810 Caroline Murat, Queen of Naples and Napoleon's sister, ordered from Breguet what the house describes as the first watch designed to be worn on the wrist. The Reine de Naples is its direct descendant, and the egg-shaped case is unlike anything else in watchmaking. Here it measures 33 x 24.95mm in diamond-set rose gold, with a natural mother-of-pearl dial, Breguet hollow-apple hands in steel and a briolette diamond on the crown.
